This has been an interesting week. Last week Mom's OB put her on bed rest, thinking that the baby would be born this week, hence moving the appointment from Wed. to Monday. Well, that did not happen. We were mentally ready and excited to have this baby (we are going to name him Aaron Jeffrey Forsgren), but when that did not happen according to what we thought, we were devastated. If anything we have learned this week to trust in the Lord's plan for us, and not trust in schedules that we believe, and do as the hymn says, "I do not ask to see, one step enough for me." He does have a plan for us, all we have to do is do our best, and he does the rest.

The Bonnies

Well one of our next door neighbors has started a pre-school type thing for her children and invited Emma and Seth to come over and do it with them. Emma looks so cute with her little backpack walking over there, I jut had to take a picture. It made me wonder how I would react to her heading off to school for the real thing. Then I started thinking about when she can get baptized, and drive, and then date. I look forward to tormenting the young men as they take my precious little daughter on a date, but dread letting her go. Much like in the movie, College Road trip. He will always see his little girl as that little 4-6 year whose life revolved around Daddy, sorry Chad, you have had to give away 3 so far, and 1 more left, I don't know if my heart could take 4, it can barely stand the thought of 1, let alone 4. I hope I am taking care of Rebecca in a way that you find peace. Anyways, as this baby is getting closer and closer, we have begun finishing a room for Emma downstairs. We have never done this before, so we are learning. Here are a few pictures of what it looks like this morning.




Lessons we have learned:

1. Use a nail gun
2. Miter saw is a must
3. Measure 4 times, cut once
4. Nothing is level/even/straight that contractors do
5. Put drywall on the top of the wall, then do the bottom
6. don't use recessed lighting
7. Emma has a closet almost as big as Rebecca's
8. Having good neighbors is essential
9. keep it clean, so as to not step on unwanted things
10. Don't finish all the electrical before you put up the drywall
11. When you think you have counted all the wood/drywall you need, add 10 more for the lumber, and 5 more for the drywall.
12. Decide how much time it will take you and add 4 weeks.
13. do it yourself, it is worth the learning.

This has been an uneventful week, other than we have started to frame Emma's new room in our basement. We have tried to get Emma and Seth to share a room, but their schedules, and personalities are so different they didn't go to sleep. They would play, or scream, or bite (Seth has been wakng uo with body tremors and will scream randomly, so Emma went over to comfort him, and he bit her finger, shoved her off the bed). We have now tried to frame 1 wall with no experience, and it went... We actually made it a bit too tall, we will chop it down to size tomorrow night and hgope it goes well. A few other side notes, I hate the Olympics. I stay up wayyyy to late watching them and enjoying in the successes of the US athletes and get frustrated with them when others win. My lands do our men own the poll thanks to Michael Phelps, Ryan Locke, Ian Crocker, Aaron Piersol, and Jason Lezak. Seth has foot and mouth disease, or in other words sores all in his mouth. If anyone has any suggestions on how to make it feel better (doctor says it just has to run its course) that would be great. Anyways, Thanks for reading.

Summer Fun

Well so long no see. Sorry it has been a while since the last time that we have posted. We let the summer and all the fun that comes with it get the best of us the past few weeks. During which we had a fun time at Jeff's family Reunion the first weekend of August where were learned all about things we can do to be "Prepared for the unexpected." The kids had a wonderful time with their cousins and their favorite part was playing in the pool and on the water slide. It was great to see all the family and get caught up on how everyone was doing. We sure missed Brad, Sally, and Ty and send them all our love. That following Wed. we were able to join Rebecca's parents up in Park City for a Family get together at the Condo they were staying at. The cool change in climate was welcomed by all and once again the kids had a blast being with family (as well as Jeff and I.) We were able to play in the pool with grandma, grandpa, Ashley, Jen, James, and Makayla. It was fun to watch the kids and play with grandpa and grandma. Seth sure is a fish in the water, and Emma took after Ashley with the sun tanning and listening to music. We sure had a ton of fun that day and are grateful for the times we were able to spend with family. We missed Melissa and Kenley and send them our love as well. As for the ward being split, Jeff thought he was out of the clearing after a week and a half with out a call, but that all changed very quickly. Jeff was called as the Elders quarm president and I know he will do will, despite his his nervousness over being called at such a young age. As the Stake President put it, it will be great training for what is to come. As for me, I was called as the Visiting Teacher Coordinater, which will still allow me to stay with the kids while Jeff is busy with his calling and the arrival of the new baby. Speaking of baby, we hope this little guy stays in as long as he can, seeing that his arrival date is not until Oct. 4, yet my placenta is already thinning out, which means he could pretty much come any time from now until then. Well, I better run the kids are wanting me to come play. Have a wonderful week and we hope to post again next week.

This week

Monkey See, Monkey do!!! Like Father, Like Son.

Well, unlike other other weeks this one has been tame, OH how we love tame. The biggest things we did this week was to go for walks when Rebecca told us to and we went, it did not matter that it was 97 degrees F. outside, she wanted to GO!!!! I have no clue how she did it being 7 months pregnant. On Saturyday we went to Grandpa and Grandma Forsgren's home to pick apricots, how Jeff loves his apritcot juice. We were able to bottle 38 quarts. It just so happened that June, Georg, Gavin, and Davis were also there. We would post pictures but the batteries were dead and we just plain forgot as Rebecca put me in charge of it. We missed Kevin and Nancy's non-homecoming. We are glad they are back and wish them well in St. George. We felt we really needed to go to our church today as they just split the ward, and we needed to sustain the newly called members in their callings. We as of yet do not have any.

Grandma and Bear World

Well, this is us at Yellowstone Bear World about 5 miles south of Rexburg, Id. We went and visited Jeff's family up there, in particular his Grandma. It was a great trip. We got to see Grandma (Emma cried when we dropped Grandma off to go home, she loves her), Kirt, Maureen, Meghan, John, Connie, Cowboy sam, Kelly and her wonderful children, old Jake, Annette, Angie, Mary, Dale, Isaac, Charity, and yes you Cami. It was a wonderful time to get reacquainted with our wonderful family. We even got to see Adam Winchester's pictures from his mission. It was a great time. We went up on Friday afternoon, and stayed with Grandma. On Saturday we went and saw the new Rexburg temple, it is quite beautiful, and then went to Bear World. They loved seeing the Bears from inside the car, and then riding the rides and petting deers. Then we came home and found out today that they split the ward. We are in the new Grantsville 13th ward. We will miss associating in church callings with the many friends we have made in the OLD Grantsville 11th ward. So that was our week. The Boonies

4th of July

Well, July 4th has made us think of the many freedoms we enjoy in the USA. Jeff and I have compared it to the lifestyle and governments of Bolivia. We are so blessed to live in this great nation, but we must still fight for it, as people want to take these freedoms away. This has hit home more than usually due to all the coverage of the elections, It is the first time I have really followed the process. Well, Grantsville does a small parade, it is not without some of the amenities of that larger cities enjoy, has a small carnival, and fireworks at night. We loved the parade, Emma got scared of the sirens though, but that was fine with Dad as he enjoys more of the sitting back and relaxing aspect of parade watching. It was a great time spending the majority of the day with friends and neighbors, actually one of our neighbors reserved a spot for over 25 people (their neighbors). Before fireworks we had some of the neighbors come over and we ate ice cream, brownies and lit off fireworks. It was really fun.
